He said firms had found new ways to sell and promote their goods and services.

Studio RTR is sponsoring the Digital and Marketing Business of the Year category at this year’s Be Inspired Business Awards, The BIBAs, which is open for applications until the end of next month.

Mr Oulson-Jenkins said: “It would be a mistake to forget about the benefits digital technology has brought once we return to normal.

“Businesses have been able to reach their customers in a way they perhaps had never thought before the pandemic, and this can still be a strength even after restrictions are lifted.

“There are so many great digital marketing and design agencies out there in Lancashire with the expertise to really help firms from all sectors to advantage of these opportunities, and we cannot wait to meet them during this year’s BIBAs journey.”

The Digital and Marketing Business of the Year is one of 19 awards up for grabs at The BIBAs this year, with applications open until April 30.

Categories include Small and Medium Business of the Year, Manufacturing and Service Business of the Year and for this year there is a Most Resilient Business of the Year, recognising the achievements of firms during the pandemic.

The awards are offering cash prizes to its winners in recognition of the financial impact of the past 12 months.
