Santander bank closed in Chorley due to Covid-19

Santander has temporarily closed its branch in Chorley after a staff member tested positive for COVID-19.

The bank's website says the branch in Fazakerley Street will remain shut until Tuesday, November 10 as staff self-isolate at home.

A Santander spokesman said: "Following a confirmed case of Covid-19 at our Chorley branch, we have taken the decision to temporarily close the branch until November 10 while branch colleagues adhere to Government self-isolating guidelines.

"Customers who need to access a branch can use our branch locator to find their nearest alternative branch, or use online or mobile banking, or their local Post Office until the branch reopens.

"We apologise for any inconvenience caused to our customers during this time."

A sign posted on the bank's window advises customers to visit its nearest branch in Hough Lane, Leyland, six miles away.

The Leyland branch is open between 9.30am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday and 9.30am to 12.30pm on Saturdays.
