Northern is offering One Love Manchester concert ticket holders free rail travel into and out of Manchester on Sunday.

Concertgoers will need to travel with their One Love Manchester concert ticket – presentation of a valid ticket will qualify the holder for free rail travel on a Northern service.

Northern is also looking to provide refunds to customers who have already bought tickets to travel to the One Love Manchester concert – these customers should go to the point at which they bought their ticket or call Northern on 0800 200 6060.

Liam Sumpter, regional director at Northern, said: “We are 100% behind the artists who are coming together this Sunday to remember those impacted by the terror attack and raise money for the We Love Manchester fund.”

Meanwhile Preston Bus is offering gig-goers cheap travel with proceeds going to the emergency fund.

A Preston Bus spokesman said: “Passengers are requested to book seats on the bus to be sure of a place, by sending a message to our Facebook page ‘Preston Bus Ltd’(www.facebook.com/PrestonBusLtd) or by calling into our Travel Information Office at Preston Bus Station.

“The return fare is payable to the driver when boarding the bus. Any unbooked seats left over will be available on the day to people who have not booked.”

The bus will leave Preston bus station at 4pm and the return bus will depart at 11pm. It costs £2.50 for kids or £5 for adults.

The gig includes performances from Take That and Katy Perry.
