Preston Grasshoppers shuts its Terrace Bar for a week after staff test positive for Covid
The popular Terrace Bar at Preston Grasshoppers Rugby Club has closed for a week after a staff member tested positive for Covid.
The club in Lightfoot Green Lane, Fulwood said the member of staff tested positive on Tuesday, July 13 and this has led to more staff having to self-isolate as a precaution.
It means the Terrace Bar, which was fully booked for the Euro 2020 final on Sunday, will now stay closed until Wednesday, July 21.
A spokesman for the club said: "Due to a staff member testing positive for Covid and the knock on effect of self isolation we are having to close The Terrace Bar until July 21."
Preston Grasshoppers hosts the Lancashire Vaccine Centre - one of three vaccine centres currently operating in the city. But Broadway Pharmacy, which runs the clinic 7 days a week, said its vaccination clinic will not be affected.
