Spearheaded by the NP11 – the North’s business-led voice, comprising its 11 Local Enterprise Partnerships – and the North West Nuclear Arc consortium, the delegation championed the case for further investment, and policy support from Government at the two-day Civil Nuclear Showcase.

The delegation comprised more than 50 senior business, academic and local government stakeholders, many of whom were presenting at the event including Westinghouse, showing off new plans for a Clean Energy Technology Park at Springfields, Salwick.

Collectively, they outlined the transformative socio-economic impact that a pan-Northern next-generation nuclear strategy could have.
