New countries targeted by Lancashire crops firm
A Wyre firm which supplies products to boost crop growth has seen its exports increase this year.
Levity Crop Science has taken its first orders from several countries including Columbia, Peru, Argentina, in South America, Kenya, South Africa and Zimbabwe and Estonia in Europe.
The Bilsborrow firm’s products help growers particularly in arid areas and with difficult growth conditions to produce larger, more resilient yields in such crops as potatoes , green beans, avocados, bananas, coffee, cotton and flowers.
David Marks, co-managing director, said: “This superb increase in our export sales is directly attributable to the time and effort we have devoted over the last few years to field trials; undertaking numerous country visits and lecture tours, signing up new distributors and launching our award- winning products in many new countries.
“At the last count, our products were being used in several countries in North America, South America, Africa, Far East, Middle East and Australasia. A fantastic achievement for a small agronomy company based in Lancashire.”
