Motorway lane closure following two car incident
Emergency services closed one lane of the M65 after an incident involving two cars.
The first lane of the eastbound carriageway at junction 2 was closed off while fire crews attended the scene.
A spokesman from Preston Fire Station said that fire engines from Bamber Bridge and Preston attended the incident which involved a "small bump" between the two vehicles.
One woman complaining of knee pain was taken to Royal Preston Hospital as a precautionary check up.
A spokesman from Highways England said they got a call at 6:40pm from emergency services on the scene asking for a one lane closure on the eastbound carriageway at junction 2.
The two vehicles were moved to the hard shoulder.
The lane later reopened and there were "no significant relays", the spokesman added.
