Blakewater Homecare in Blackburn received a special visit from Mayor Councillor Brian Taylor on Friday, ahead of his Ball later that evening. During his time with staff and service users, the Mayor expressed his admiration, stating that he was "honoured to meet everyone" and remarked that the team is "doing some truly terrific work" in the community.

The lunch provided a rare and valuable opportunity to bring the entire care team together—a challenging feat in the home care setting. Service users and staff gathered to share their experiences, enjoy the welcoming atmosphere, and strengthen the bonds that underpin the service’s mission of person-centered care.

This visit highlights not only the Mayor’s recognition of Blakewater Homecare's commitment to high quality service but also the team's dedication to fostering a sense of community. The care staff, known for their compassionate approach and innovative communication methods, continues to make a profound impact on the lives of those they support.
