Lovebirds from Lancashire are to star in a new television series following the journey of couples to the aisle.
The show, Wedding Valley, will follow Ribble Valley-based couples, suppliers and venues as they plan their big day.
Bridal studio Feathers and Florence is to feature in the new 10-part series which looks at how loved ones prepare the details of their wedding.
The team at Feathers and Florence started filming with London-based TV production company Little Gem TV in mid-July at the beautiful venue of Browsholme Hall and Tithe Barn in a ‘styled shoot’.
A common event in the industry, a styled shoot occurs when many wedding professionals combine their talents and services for images and videos which are then used in the promotion of each professional's services across magazines and social media.
Feathers and Florence based on Preston Road, in Longridge, is co-owned by couple Liam and Mellissa Mulligan, who said: “The Ribble Valley is now widely considered the wedding capital of the United Kingdom, a reputation which is finding its way to the small screen with a little bit of glamour arriving this summer in this popular Lancashire destination.”
Liam added: “It really is a great opportunity for us as a relatively new entrant into the wedding industry to be asked to take part in a documentary which aims to celebrate, not just the Ribble Valley and the centre of the wedding universe, but also the hard-working industry professionals which make the whole event of a wedding look seamless”.
The Feathers and Florence studio doors opened to its first appointments in April 2022 after the couple planned their own wedding.
Melissa and Liam couldn’t shake the idea of having their own bridal shop as they experienced both seeing the rustic and rural wedding locations in the Ribble Valley combined with the search for her own wedding gown.
A date for the release of Wedding Valley has not yet been announced. But you can keep up to date and follow the studio’s journey and dresses on Instagram @feathersandflorence.
