The bank has closed its branches in Fishergate and Garstang Road, Fulwood with immediate affect after two separate and unrelated cases of coronavirus among its staff.

It has forced a number of staff to self-isolate at home for 14 days, leaving the branches short-handed and unable to open.

Lloyds said it could not confirm a reopening date at this stage, but said "we’ll reopen as soon as we can".
