The tanning salon - a town favourite - has been open for nearly 30 years...
One of Leyland’s longest-running tanning salons is shutting its doors.
Leyland Sun Centre in Turpin Green Lane, next to the roundabout near McDonald’s, will close permanently after 9pm tomorrow (Thursday, August 13).

The salon has been open for nearly 30 years and is one of the longest-running centres in the Leyland area. It’s not known at this stage what will replace it.

Salon manager Karen Dean announced the closure on Facebook, saying: “It is with sadness that I regret to inform you that as from close of business on Thursday 13th August at 9.00pm, the current owner of Leyland Sun Centre will be closing its doors.
“Therefore, if anyone has left their sun creams at the shop, please collect them before then. I will take the remainder home with me and they can be collected from there.
“Leyland Sun Centre has had a good run and been open for nearly 30 years. Thank you for all your custom and it’s been a pleasure meeting you all.”
