Globetrotting Liv was due to defend her title in the freestyle world championships in Tokyo this month, but she had to withdraw from the contest after suffering a stress fracture in her left foot .

But she has kept herself positive and busy – including concentrating on her new business.

Liv said: “I got the idea for the ball holder when I was in Japan and playing on an arcade game where you have to direct a claw shape to pick up toys and drop them into your basket.

“I thought the claw shape would be perfect to hold a football and attach it to a bag. That’s when I mentioned the idea to Adam who jumped onto it and before we knew it we went from designing a ball holder to planning an entire empire.”

The pair say Boldr is a brand by athletes, for athletes and is dedicated to innovating and improving the sporting world.

Adam said: “We are looking at this as a long-term investment, once we reach ROI and are in profit we will design and develop more products and establish Boldr as a ‘go to’ company for sports innovation.”

Liv and Adam say they have already attracted big names from the footballing industry including youtube superstars Manny and STR Skill School, Leicester City Captain Christian Fuchs, Soccer Am’s Rocket Long and Puma global ambassador Lisa Zimouche .

And there has been a lot of interest in the new Boldr Hoodies which are set to launch in a few weeks.

Liv is also founder of Girl Power, the first female football freestyle agency.
