Minister for Employment, Mims Davies MP, showed her gratitude from the dispatch box by saying: “I’d very much like to thank my Honourable Friend for raising the opportunities for smaller businesses, and the great team at the North and Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce for their hard work and the services they provide as a gateway organisation.

She went on to say: “[The organisation] is helping many sole traders and employers within her constituency to support our young people to take these Kickstart roles up, ensuring young people have that wrap-around, vital support, getting them on to the career ladder, and above all, grasping future work opportunities.

The chamber, as a gateway for the scheme, supports hundreds of local businesses to access the Kickstart.

In addition, it is also offering a comprehensive wrap-around training programme to assist employers taking on candidates.
