This is when late night Christmas shopping starts in Preston
Hot on the heels of Small Business Saturday, Preston Business Improvement District (BID) has revealed the Christmas late night shopping times for Preston's St George's and Fishergate shopping centres as well as many high street retailers.
The next few weeks will be vital for many of Preston's local businesses after what has been a devastating year for high street traders.
That's why it's more important than ever that we all do our bit to shop local and support the city's economy as we head towards the end of 2020.
If you are planning to shop locally, these are the late night shopping times you need to know about:
This year St George’s Shopping Centre will be open until 7pm on weekdays from December 2 until December 19, and until 8pm from December 16 until December 23.
Meanwhile Fishergate Shopping Centre will open from 9am until 7pm everyday through to Christmas Eve.
Many high street retailers will be also be following suit, staying open until 7pm - however Preston BID are advising Preston residents to check with individual stores before visiting.
During late night shopping visitors travelling by car will also be able to take advantage of free parking between 5pm and 8pm.
Preston Bus will also be running additional services, to and from the city centre, from Monday, December 21 until Thursday, December 24, and the city’s Park and Ride facility at Walton le Dale, will also resume normal operation from December 2 with additional services centred around late night trading.
