These were the scenes in Preston this lunchtime as McDonald's in Deepdale Retail Park re-opened its drive-thru to hungry Prestonians.

Outlets across Lancashire have reopened for drive-thru collections in the last two days, with restaurants in Preston, Chorley, Leyland, Blackpool, Fleetwood and Lytham all opening at 11am today (June 3, 2020).

Queues of vehicles packed with hungry residents could be seen reaching across the retail park.

As with many other retailers McDonald's have introduced a number safety measures, including, reduced opening hours, fewer staff and contactless payments.
