First look at Christmas 2026 at Dobbies Garden Centre in Preston as team reveal new themes and events

Dobbies Garden Centre in Preston has revealed its Christmas themes and events calendar for 2026.

With Christmas approaching, the team at Dobbies has been planning this year’s festive experience since last Christmas, with preparations in store gathering pace since September.

This year, visitors will be able to browse four new Christmas themes, including; Classic Noel and Winter Wonderland, as well as new ranges featuring Disney and Gruffalo decorations.

General manager Peter Walker gave us a glimpse of what customers can expect at the Preston store this year, saying: “ We've been flat out right throughout the year.
In store, we started at the beginning of September, but it may feel like it's early for you guys to go and enjoy Christmas, but we've been living it all year.”

“This season, we have four main themes here in Preston this year: Country Christmas, Classic Noel, Winter Wonderland and North Pole.

“Some of the exciting range we have this year is our Christmas dinner range. It's a range of soft toys to decorate your home. We also have Disney hanging decorations this year and Gruffalo decorations, some of which are exclusive to Dobbies.

“We've introduced many bigger ranges from pets and hobbies to increase clothing range as well.”

For those looking to get into the festive spirit, Dobbies is also holding a number of events in the run-up to Christmas.

Peter added: “Dobbies is much more than just a shopping experience. We also have our activities throughout the season.

“We've got our wreath making events, which will be coming up soon, and also on top of that, we have our Santa experiences.

“We'd love for customers to come to the store and see the change we made and to explore our Christmas collections for this year, and to take in the many events that we have planned throughout the season.”

Dobbies will be hosting two festive events in November, starting with Santa's arrival at the centre on Sunday, November 22, at 11am.

This will be followed by a late-night shopping event on Thursday, November 26, from 5pm to 8pm.
