City gambling spot set for expansion

The owners of Admiral on Orchard Street want to knock through to its neighbouring property, expanding its floorspace and gambling facilities.

Manchester-based planning agents Turley are behind the expansion plans submitted to Preston Council on behalf of Gateshead-based owners Luxury Leisure.

A spokesman for Turley said: “In operational terms, the use would comprise an adult entertainment facility, offering gaming on coin operated machines.

“It will bring a vacant city centre unit back into active use and create direct jobs once the premises becomes operational.

“Futhermore, the proposed use will attract expenditure within the city centre and contribute to the broader leisure economy of the city.”

Turley added that the expansion would bring about four new full-time jobs.
