The Most Inspiring Business Award will go to a business judged to have made a major contribution to Lancashire.

The winning business may not even be among those shortlisted for its main 17 prize categories.

Mick Gornall, managing director Springfields Fuels Ltd, which is backing the BIBAs’ Medium Business of the Year prize, said the launch of the BIBAs Foundation would take the awards to “another level.”

He said: “For generations, Springfields Fuels has had the communities of Lancashire at its heart, not only through the people we employ but through the countless individuals and organisations we have supported down the years.”
