Professional dancers Elissia and Callam, who also run Longridge’s Precision Dance Academy, took over the heritage cafe four years ago, but said “new opportunities” have come their way.

Sharing the news on Facebook, they said “new opportunities have come our way that we simply can’t pass up”. They added that the Old Station Café will continue trading as normal and there will be no immediate changes until new owners are found.

“It comes with a heavy heart that after nearly 4 wonderful years, we have made the decision to put The Old Station Café up for sale,” they said on Facebook.

“New opportunities have come our way that we simply can’t pass up, and while we are incredibly excited for what lies ahead, this decision has been full of emotion.

“What started off as a small café quickly became our home, and the people who walked through the doors became our family. The connections we’ve built here mean more to us than we could ever put into words.

“We want to say the biggest, most heartfelt thank you to all of you. Our customers, our friends, our team, and our café family.

“You’ve supported us, laughed with us, shared your stories, and truly made this little café feel like home.

“Although this chapter will be closing for us, the memories (and the coffee!) will always hold a special place in our hearts. We are so grateful for the kindness, loyalty and love you’ve shown us over the years.

“The café will continue trading as normal throughout the process. There will be no immediate changes, and we’ll keep you updated when the time comes for the next chapter to begin.”
