You only Swing when you’re Winter Gardens

One of Europe’s finest ‘swing’ bands will lead the Rotary Clubs of Lancaster, Lancaster Loyne and Carnforth through a swinging night of dance at the Morecambe Winter Gardens later this month (May 31 2014).

Lancashire band The Swing Commanders take songs from the 30s to the 50s, from American Songbook classics to Western Swing and Novelty songs, and overlay them with lush vocal harmonies and hot solos.

The rhythms, from ballads to jive, quicksteps to boogies, are guaranteed to make the night go with a swing. But don’t expect a nostalgia trip or Rat Pack karaoke – this will be a night of great songs played joyfully and brilliantly.

All proceeds from the event will go to good causes, and The Rotary Club’s chosen charity is Unique Kidz and Co. which provides specialist childcare and social activities services for disabled children and their families in Lancashire and Cumbria.

There will be dancing and a bar.
