Dubbed by many as the “first British punk band” The Troggs composed much of their own material and are credited with having an important influence on the likes of The Ramones.

They rose to their highest profile in years when three members of R.E.M., which had covered “Love Is All Around”, backed The Troggs on the
comeback album Athens Andover.

Tickets for the gig, which starts at 8pm, are £17.50 from The Continental on 01772 499425 or Action Records on 01772 884772.

Support is from soul/blues rock band, Soul Sabateur.
