The Flag Market museum’s staff are running another guided tour of the balcony, which is the highest point accessible in the building.

Due to health and safety rules, visitors are not allowed to climb the narrow stairway which leads to the balcony alone, and must be accompanied by a guide.

But the balcony, adorned with many impressive murals which tell the stories of ancient Egypt is also one of the most spectacular sights in the museum.

The tour, which is suitable for ages 10 and upwards, goes ahead between 1pm and 1.30pm tomorrow and the admission charge is £1 or 50p for concessions.

Places must be booked in advance as the tours are popular, so reserve your place on 01772 905414 or book your place at the museum shop.

This is your chance to travel to the top of the building and see the impressive murals – and find out how they ended up in the Harris.
