They’re here, Wolf of London

Hotly tipped as one of the big things to look out for in 2014, Wolf Alice are the four-piece alternative rock band from north London who are causing a storm in the music world.

Consisting of Ellie Rowsell, Joel Amey, Joff Oddie and Theo Ellis, they first attracted notice when supporting indie rockers Peace, winning over Radio 1’s Huw Stephens to secure a BBC session. A deal with Chess Club Records followed and the band are now regularly on Radio 1 and 6Music playlists.

While the group’s early material was more of folk-tinged, they’ve grown more rock-oriented over time.

Think infectious melodies to a pounding rhythm section and garage guitar, and you’re some way to imaging the energy of these young rockers.
