Regional Youth Ballet presents Les Sylphides at Preston Guild Hall this Friday and Saturday.

Taking its name from Chopin’s famous non-narrative work, the show also includes variations on classics such as Swan Lake, The Nutcracker with the enchanting Sugar Plum Fairy, La Fille Mal Garde and the popular Fan Variation from Don Quixote.

More unusual pieces from the 40 local dancers, aged eight to 18, include a dance to the well-known music from The South Bank Show and a high-kicking Can Can.
