Bryan Malcolm, who runs The HaHa Club, said: “I’m absolutely delighted to have Tom Stade performing.

“We had Tom at our Burscough Wharf gig in February and he was astounding.

“The guy is on form and he is undoubtedly the best comedian in the country at the moment.”

It is a big score for The HaHa Club, which is also organising an Edinburgh Fringe preview show, with Justin Moorhouse and Jason Cook, at Southlands High School on Wednesday, June 3.

“It’s a big thing for us and we have worked really hard to get the big acts.”

Tom will be joined on Saturday, May 24, by special guest Danny McLoughlin.

He appeared appeared on Dave TV’s Comedy Showcase.

Support comes from Catherine Scott and Lee Bennett, and Bryan will be the host.

Doors open at 7pm and the show starts at 8pm. Tickets: £10 at www.hahacomedyclubs.co.uk or by calling 07931 155887.
