Philip looks East for inspiration

This new mystery thriller features some of Manchester’s finest fringe theatre talent.

Among the cast is the founder of Manchester’s 24:7 Festival David Slack who was recently given a Special Achievement Award at the Manchester Theatre Awards and nominated as Best Actor at the 2013 MTAs.

East of Heysham marks an exciting collaboration between Lancaster writer Philip and Lass Productions.

Aside from a number of plays produced at the National Theatre and Royal Court, he has an extensive television career including Play for Today , Doctor Who and his own critically-acclaimed 1970s BBC series Gangsters.

East of Heysham will be performed at Manchester’s Three Minute Theatre from June 17-19 and at Salford Arts Theatre June 24-25, with other venues to be announced.
