Our big new season at Little

Chorley Amateur Dramatic & Operatic Society has unveiled a packed schedule of productions for its 2014-15 season at the town’s Little Theatre

The season kicks off in September Monday 8–Saturday 13 with Alan Bennett’s Talking Heads, written by Alan Bennett and directed by Zoe Duffin-Jones

Four warm and witty monologues by four women at different stages of their lives.

In October, from Monday 20 to Saturday 25, Father Ted writer Graham Linehan’s acclaimed adaptation of Ealing classic The Ladykillers is directed by Sean Duxbury

A group of bank-robbers’ plans are undermined by a little old lady – who has to go...

A change of location for November, Thursday 13 to Saturday 15, sees the group stage Chatrooms and Disco Pigs, both by Enda Walsh in the theatre at Southlands High School.

Directed by Robert Walsh, these are hard-hitting, strong language, one-act plays.

In December a panto – The Elves And The Shoemaker – from Friday 12 to Saturday 20 .

Written and directed by Paul Carr, the director of Santa The Panto, expect another spectacular, hilarious family show, based on the classic fairtytale.

The final matinee is nearly sold out, so book early to avoid disappointment.

CADOS will return in February with Steel Magnolias from Monday 23 to Saturday 28.

Written by Robert Harling and directed by Rebecca Dickinson, this comedy is set around a hair salon in Louisianna, where customers gather to tell stories and have a good gossip.

In April, from Monday 20 to Saturday 25, classic Willy Russell comedy Our Day Out takes centre stage.

Directed by Barbara Wilcox, a group of deprived school kids take a trip to the seaside, in this gem from the writer of Blood Brothers and Shirley Valentine.

In June Sherlock Holmes: The Final Problem is the final CADOS production of the season from Monday 15 to Saturday 20.

Written and directed by Mark Jones (who won Best Play, Actor and Staging for Hound of the Baskervilles), we encounter the great detective one last time as he faces up to his biggest fears and greatest dangers.

On Sunday October 31 there will be a cinema preview night showing trailers for all the upcoming films and screen events but also selling tickets for all shows at the Theatre.

Tickets for all the shows are now on sale at Malcolm’s Musicland Tickets: Monday-Wednesday £6. Thursday-Saturday £8.
