McGowan back to stand up

One of the country’s top impressionists Alistair McGowan goes back to his stand-up roots for a new two-hour show at the Lancaster Grand.

On Sunday, September 22 the the nation’s favourite impressionist will be wondering if the world would be a happier place if Ed Miliband was Prime Minister and what we really think when we watch Shakespeare? Expect to hear everyone from Andy Murray to Colin Murray, riffs on everything from Jeff Stelling to bad spelling and at least one song about butter.

On Tuesday, September 24 Celebrity Cook-Off Live sees two TV celebrity chefs go head to head live in a competition to win the day’s best dish. Each member of the audience will also be given a recipe book.

The following night sees writer and comedian Stewart Lee with a warm-up for his forthcoming 2014 TV 
serie while Lunchbox Theatre Company presents 
The Runaway on September 27. - an interactive drama based on accounts of the cotton mill children of the Industrial Revolution aimed at Key Stage Two and Year 7 pupils.

The month of events is rounded off by Back To The Movies, a theatre 
production of music from timeless classic 
blockbuster movies.
