Leighton Hall’s Bard at the double

Historic Leighton Hall will stages two Shakespeare plays outdoors this summer.

The visiting Festival Players are celebrating 30 years of touring and will stop at Leighton Hall in June and July for a double bill of Bard.

Henry IV and As You Like It will be performed alfresco in Leighton’s stunning gardens.

Supporters of Shakespeare and devotees of drama will be treated to a free ticket for As You Like It, if they come along to Henry IV on June 25.

Henry IV is an epic drama which brings to life the humanity, politics, battles and humour of medieval Britain.

It is a spirited adaptation focussing on the larger than life rogue Sir John Falstaff and his adventures with Prince Hal, the future King Henry V.

Rain or shine, the shows starts at 7:30pm but Leighton’s grounds open at 6pm and visitors are welcome to bring their own picnics.
