Geordie comedy geekBarry Dodds tops the bill at the new monthly night at the Korova Arts Cafe and Bar with his irrepressibly cheeky but surprisingly dark material.

Barry’s style got him through to the final of Jimmy Carr’s Comedy Idol and Jongleurs’ Last Laugh Comedy Search, to the semi-finals of the BBC New Comedy Award and won him the top prize in the Phones 4U Comedy contest.

A star of the comedy circuit, he regularly plays at top comedy clubs such as The Stand, XS Malarkey and The Frog and Bucket, in both
Manchester and Preston And his comedy has even taken him to perform in Luxembourg, where his solo show proved so popular, he became the first ever comedian to perform on Luxembourg TV.

And, supporting him at the venue, in St Wilfreds Street,
between Fishergate and
Corporation Street, are Adam Staunton and Stephen Armstrong. Entry is £5 or £4 for concessions.
