Holly, a trained circus performer who broke through when she won the Lancaster and Morecambe Newspapers Talent On Show in 2008, will be joined by Morecambe magician Kevin Cunliffe, teenage Bolton-le-Sands singer/songwriter Amy-Jo Clough, band Aurora, musician Pete Lashley, comedienne Pam Ford, Lancaster’s Ludus Dance group and Steven Hall, famed for ‘dad dancing’ all the way to the finals of Britain’s Got Talent.

John ‘Gilly’ Gillmore from BBC Radio Lancashire will compere the night on Saturday, January 31, which will raise funds for Alzheimer’s research.

A research group at Lancaster University have developed a drug with the potential to stop Alzheimer’s in its tracks and ‘A Grand Night Out’ will launch the campaign to raise funds.

Researcher Penelope Foulds, who has coordinated the concert, said the entertainers were giving their time for free, and they were not being charged for use of the theatre.

She added: “We need to get as many people as we can into the theatre to make it a success.”

Tickets are only £10, or £8 concs, and every penny goes to the laboratory to fund development of the drug. Available on 01524 64695.
