This year’s walkabout show – Hansel & Gretel And More Tales From The Forest – has taken the total audience since The Dukes launched this unique theatrical experience in 1987 to 500,000.

This half million milestone makes the Lancaster theatre’s walkabout season the biggest of its kind in the UK.

Director, Joe Sumsion said: “The Dukes pioneered outdoor walkabout theatre in the UK in 1987 and we are delighted we have given half a million people the chance to experience one of the most special forms of theatre.”
