This free event features two acts putting the final touches to their performances, prior to heading to the Edinburgh Fringe – Manchester-based comedians Michael J Dolan and sketch troupe Gein’s Family Gift Shop. Michael was a semi-finalist for the BBC’s comedy awards in 2011, debuted at the Edinburgh Fringe that year and recorded a four-star review.

Sketch troupe Gein’s Family Gift Shop will be making their Edinburgh debut, having performed at Preston Tringe last year.

According to Kiri Pritchard-McLean, who writes and directs for the sketch troupe, they’ve spent the last 12 months honing material in front of “switched-on patient Preston audiences.

“We’re now heading up to Edinburgh with a great deal of enthusiasm and confidence.

“We’ve been afforded the space as artists to grow creatively and that growth is hard to imagine without the support of Project Korova.”

The evening will also involve a selection of local acts, including rapper Abdul Dawood, poet Nick Duffy, and local contemporary performer Jack Coverdale.

The evening is also looking for performers for future months, email [email protected]
