Jacqueline Wilson’s Bad Girls will be at 7.30pm and on Saturday at 2.30pm and 7.30pm with limited tickets available tonight and tomorrow afternoon – with Saturday night’s show sold out.

Chairman Ian Robinson said: “It’s a bit of a tough time for theatres so is really exciting that so many people are coming to Chorley Little Theatre and showing such support.

“The total attendance was nearly 17,500 which is about double from when I took over as chairman in 2009.

“It’s mainly due to having more shows than ever, but it stems from when the roof fell in and we needed money to repair it.

“We felt we had to put on a
year-round programme of events so that Chorley would notice the gem on their doorstep, and show support.

“All our income is from ticket and bar sales so it’s brilliant that people of Chorley (and beyond) are now coming to our plays, films, comedy and other shows in big numbers.

“There were so many high spots in the last year, but it’s been great to have comedians like Sean Lock, Marcus Brigstocke and Alistair McGowan here, and to round off a “premiere season” of productions we’ve never done before, such as Kes and Sherlock Holmes.”

We’re all volunteers so there’s a limit to how much we can do, but we’ll continue to put money back into shows and back into the building to make sure people keep coming back and the future is secure.”

Bad Girls: Tickets: Adults £6, children £4, family (two adults & two children) £18 from Malcolm’s Musicland 01257 264362.
