The Bolton-based 19-piece band will be playing the music of Stan Kenton, Buddy Rich, Duke Ellington, Les Brown, Maynard Ferguson, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bobby Darin and others from 1.30pm.

The band’s ethos has always been to make big band music accessible to everyone and choose their concert programmes to be enjoyed by all, not just aficionados.

Founded and led by twin brothers Ben Shepherd (piano) and Jay Shepherd (lead trumpet), The Managers consists mainly of young musicians from around the North West, with over three quarters of the band still in their twenties.
