Featured composers/pieces will include Dvořák’s Humoresque, excerpts from Romeo and Juliet by Tchaikovsky and Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto.

Not forgetting Elgar’s rousing Pomp and Circumstance March No.4.

Leading the orchestra in his RLPO debut will be Manuel López-Gómez – the latest star to emerge from the world famous El Sistema music education programme in Venezuela. The young musician has already acquired a reputation for conducting with great flair, so expect a vibrant show.

Tasmin Little, left – surely one of Britain’s best-loved violin soloists – will bring all her poise and charm to Dvořák’s Humoresque and Mendelssohn’s ever popular Violin Concerto.

Tickets £19, students £7, other concessions available. Call the box office on 0845 344 2012 for more details.
