Templebys support Craig Charles funk-fest

Following the huge, packed-out success of last year’s Xmas Funk & Soul show, Red Dwarf/Coronation Street legend Craig Charles returns to Preston’s 53 Degrees to spin the very best in floor-filling funk and soul.

The Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show will be returning to the city – and he will be supported by Preston’s newest funk sensation The Templebys.

A spokesman for 53Degrees said: “The band will kick things off with a refined combination of funk, soul and pop which has been compared to the Amy Winehouse backers The Dap Kings. Paul Thornton and Chris Holt will also be showing why they’re Preston’s finest and most eclectic DJ tag team.

“Craig hits the stage in the headline spot, taking his flavoursome funk far into the night, and keeping crowds on their feet to the finish line, spinning much-loved classics from the likes of Michael Jackson, Otis Redding, The Temptations, Al Green, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder and many more.”

The event takes place on Saturday, November 16. Tickets £10 advance, plus booking fee.
