New Romantic legend Steve Strange is heading for Lancashire later this year.

The Visage star plays at Blackburn’s King George’s Hall on Friday, November 14 with support from Electro ‘80s.

A style icon and close friend of David Bowie and Boy George, Strange formed Visage in 1980.

Early line-ups included then Rich Kid Rusty Egan, Billie Currie of Ultravox, and John McGeoch, Dave Formula and Barry Adamson from post-punk pioneers Magazine.

Strange rose to prominence after appearing in the video for David Bowie’s Ashes To Ashes in 1980. Later that year Visage released their second single Fade To Grey, a top 10 hit in the UK which topped the charts in several other countries.

Visage enjoyed a string of hit singles and two hit albums until their break-up in 1985.

A new album Hearts And Knives was released in May 2013 and the band made live appearances in the UK and Europe in with support from Electro ’80s.
