This annual gathering of soul enthusiast will see more than 40 DJs arrive from all corners of the UK along with thousands of similarly far-flung attendees, all aiming to enjoy, discover and celebrate the historic past and vibrant present of this music.
The festival centrepiece will be the ‘Temple of Soul’ at Morecambe’s triple-decker premier venue Smokey O’Connor’s.
Here will be played across all three days and up to three floors, the finest cuts of soul, with outdoor sessions on Saturday afternoon at The Platform and on Sunday afternoon at the iconic Midland Hotel.
This year’s festival will also host the third NLSF Soulbowl contest at Morecambe Superbowl on Saturday morning where teams of locals and visitors can do battle on the 10 pin lanes for the coveted NLSF Soulbowl title.
A full programme for the weekend including all the DJ’s is at www.northlancssoulfestival.co.uk with further info on the festival’s Facebook page.
