He returns to Parbold to perform a programme featuring J S Bach’s Partita No. 1, Scriabin’s Piano Sonata No. 3 and Schubert’s Piano Sonata No. 21 D960.

J S Bach’s Partita No. 1 is a technically dazzling suite originally written for harpischord.

Scriabin’s Piano Sonata No. 3 was written in his youth, when heavily influenced by the style of Chopin and other Romantic composers. Sunwook Kim will complete the evening with Schubert’s Piano Sonata No. 21, one of the last pieces Schubert wrote, today considered a masterpiece of drama and melody.
