Lucky for some, Preston’s Continental has unveiled the list of ales which will be on offer at its 13th Ber Festival this weekend – and it’s a whopper.

Punters will be able to wrap their lips around more than 200 beers at the bash – which begins at 5pm this evening and continues until 23.59pm Saturday night – including abig mighty Imperial Stout weighing in at 11%.

This will not be the only heavyweight on the premises over the course of the three day bender, as organisers have aranged for the North West’s largest pumpkin – The Great Pumpking, weighing around a half ton.

Alongside a mountain of tasty food, of course, will also be the traditional broad and variedline up of live music with some thing for everyone.

Highlights will include Mary Joanna & the Southern Electrikk, Los Pecadores, Jeramiah Ferrari and Djangobop as well as David Shurr, Go Around Captain and The Spiral Room.

Each day will be nicely rounded off at either end with DJ sets from The Funky Onion guys.
