Model railway show is a first

The first model railway show to be held in Clitheroe for more than 30 years gets under steam from tomorrow.

The exhibition, at St Mary’s Centre, Church Street, in the town, is being organised by Blackburn and East Lancashire Model Railway Society.

The show, which runs until Sunday, will include both working model railway layouts and static displays.

And there will also be plenty of trade stands and demonstrations on how to construct your own layouts by expert railway modellers.

Doors will be open from 10am each day, with closing time at 5pm on Saturday and 4pm on Sunday.

Admission will be £2.50 for adults and accompanied children will get in free. Unaccompanied children will be charged £1.
