This Friday and Saturday, The Wheatsheaf is hosting two major entertainment events, combining live music, top-quality DJs, charity fundraising and the warm, friendly atmosphere the pub is known for — all with free entry.Friday 30th January – Irish Music, Done Properly
The weekend begins with a full Irish takeover on Friday 30th January, as The Craic Inn bring their incredible live show to The Wheatsheaf from 8.30pm to 10.30pm.
Widely regarded as one of the best Irish bands to appear locally, The Craic Inn promise a night packed with energy, laughter, singing and dancing. Expect foot-tapping tunes, big choruses and a crowd that’s fully involved from the first note to the last.
Entry is free, and the kitchen will be open until 7pm, giving guests the chance to enjoy some food before the entertainment starts. Alongside the live music, the night will also feature the pub’s ever-popular Bar Dash, raising money for charity, the competitive “Split the G” challenge, and a range of great drinks offers to keep the celebrations flowing.
Saturday Night – Soul Night with 4 Amazing DJs (from 7pm)
The energy continues on Saturday night, as The Wheatsheaf hosts its second Soul Night, starting at 7pm and running late into the evening.
This time, the spotlight is on four amazing DJs, each bringing their own flavour to the decks. Expect a carefully curated mix of classic soul, dancefloor favourites and feel-good tracks that will keep the floor busy all night long. Whether you’re a serious soul fan or just fancy a proper dance with friends, this promises to be a standout night.
The event is held in aid of two excellent charities — Mencap and MoyaMoya UK — giving guests the chance to enjoy a brilliant night out while supporting causes that make a real difference. Entry is once again free, with donation buckets placed around the bar for anyone who wishes to contribute.
