This Saturday sees the return of more top instrument jazz musicians, with the Bailey/Hartley/Culshaw trio performing a set, including music from Egberto Gismoni, Pat Metheny and Kenny Wheeler amongst others.

The trio is led by Preston musician John Bailey, who teaches guitar at Liverpool uni and has an MA in jazz from Leeds college of music and released his first quartet album to critical acclaim and is releasing his second later this year.

Bailey will also be joined by his fellow guitar teacher at Liverpool uni, Gary Culshaw, who has worked with some giants in the jazz world including Kenny Wheeler and Mike Walker, and acclaimed Blackpool-based drummer Jonathan Hartley, who plays in Gary Boyles quartet and also with various artists from around the north.

Harold Salisbury returns in August, and the Tone Ranger in September.
