For her first event, the Lancaster teenager has arranged for Amsterdam all-girl band Snowapple to perform a special set.

The multi-instrumentalist trio, whose sweet vocal harmonies combined with acoustic guitar, mandolin,
accordion and xylophone make for a signature style, are signed to Richard Branson’s V2 label and released their debut album earlier this year.

The Dutch threesome, who recently supported The Handsome Family on tour in the UK, are stopping off at the Mad Ferret as part of their
current headline tour.

Katy herself will also be giving a few tunes – and anyone else who would like to play on the night is welcome to come along.

It’s a busy week for Katy as, the following night, she will also be playing at Friargate’s
Beautiful Planet community cafe for their 16th Bohemia Music Night.

Then, on Friday, she will be heading off to Kendal Calling festival, at Lowther Deer Park, in Cumbria, to play with her full band on 6.30pm on Sunday on their Jagermeister stage.

Doors at the Fylde Road pub open at 8pm and entry is free.
