Join in War commemorations
Members of the public are invited to a special drop-in session today organised by South Ribble Council to discuss ongoing plans for the commemoration of the beginning of the First World War
The session will be at the Civic Centre, West Paddock, Leyland, from 4pm to 7pm.
Anyone who has an interest or a connection with the First World War and would like to get involved with the council’s plans is urged to attend.

Hide AdA number of initiatives are already taking place, including creating a film called Our Lives, documenting South Ribble’s involvement in the war, set to original compositions from local musicians.
Plans for a display at the museum are also under way.
