The star of Benidorm, Ideal, QI and the PG Tips ads – who is slightly less famous than the town’s rugby league side – will be on stage in conversation with Steve Royle about his life and career.

He will cover in his new autobiography, which is included as part of the ticket price.

The evening is a joint collaboration between Chorley Little Theatre and the town’s independent bookshop Ebb And Flo.

It takes place on Tuesday, November 5 at 7.30pm.

A darkly hilarious tale of family, faith and the creative application of alcohol dependency this is an eye-poppingly frank memoir.

In this very special evening, BBC Radio Lancashire presenter and fellow comedian Steve Royle chats to Johnny about his upbringing in St Helens and how he has become one of Britain’s best-loved comic actors.

The conversation will last an hour, with a chance for audience members to ask their own questions, before Johnny will take time to meet everyone and sign their book.

The ticket price of £20 includes a hardback copy of the book, entry into the event, and a meeting with Johnny himself.
