Rising indie stars India Mill play Preston’s Continental pub tonight.

A four-piece with a classic rock edge, India Mills have already drawn comparisons to artists such as The National, Elbow and The War on Drugs along with the more classic rock stylings of bands such as Walking Papers, Jack White and The Black Keys.

The band release new single Caribesque on September 15, taken from their forthcoming debut album Under Every Sky.

A spokesman said: “The album fuses the everyday politics of modern day family life with the turmoil of seeing Britain’s so-called Big Society coming apart at the seams.”

Support comes from a pair of up-and-coming indie rock outfits New York Tourists and Good Foxy.

New York Tourists are a new British four piecewith a melodic twist, who are set to soar into rock’s heady stratosphere after winning rave reviews from some of the UK’s most respected music press for their debut EP.

Their single ‘Chew Me Up, Spit Me Out’ wason BBC Introducing’s Top 10 Ttracks of 2013.
