Hoghton Tower’s weekend fun

Historic family home Hoghton Tower hosts another of its 
famous farmers’ markets this Sunday.

The grounds of 12th 
century fortified manor house, which is still owned by the De Hoghton family, will be packed with a variety of stalls offering fresh local produce and foodstuffs from 10am to 2pm on Father’s Day.

Admission is £1 per car to the market.

And the house is also open for guided tours, including two of the Tower’s Family Friendly tours, which are run specifically with children in mind.

The Family Friendly tours run at 11.30am and another at 1.30pm, while the ordinary guided tours begin at 11am with the last one departing at 4pm. Admission to the family tours is £8 for adults and just £6 for children and concessions. The Tower’s tea room and gift shop are also open throughout the day.
