Lancaster’s Gregson Centre is the setting for humorist Pascal Desmond’s 50th birthday.

The cabaret, which runs from 8-10pm, features music, comedy and dance.

It’s all part of the city’s latest First Friday series of events taking a monthly look at what’s on in and around the city.

Litfest present Eros and Psyche by performance storyteller Sally Pomme Clayton at The Storey in Lancaster, merging myth, fairytale, and Greek philosophy.

Meanwhile, over at Lancaster’s Dukes gallery, Life’s A Stage is a free event for anyone aged 16+.

Join members of The Dukes and the Homeless Action Drama Group for an intimate evening of storytelling.

Also at The Dukes, earlier in the day, children can have their first experience of ballet when Northern Ballet present Three Little Pigs at 12.15pm, 2pm and 4pm all designed for tots. (If you miss it here, it’s at Blackpool Grand the following day).

There’s another First Friday treat for youngsters over at The Platform in Morecambe.

Big Red Bath is a humorous adaptation of Julia Jarman and Adrian Reynolds’ popular children’s book.

Completing the First Friday line-up for April, there’s Art and Music at Nice and The Jazz Mansion at Forrest Hills.
